Another
"across the lake" swim completed. Ideal conditions allowed a 44 min.
time...a nice improvement over my 2 hour time last year. I may
have to start taking this serious and see what I can do. So far,
it's just been getting up to Ironman distance so that I can
eventually compete in an Ironman.

The 2011 Kelowna Civic
Awards were fabulous. Such inspiring people nominated in many
categories. I felt like I did not deserve to be there among
such talented and inspiring people. After watching the video
presentations of my fellow nominees I was sure I would not win.
What a surprise when I was announced the winner of Male Athlete of
the Year.
